DAVID HAUTER
GENERAL OVERVIEW
David is an architect (licensed in Colorado and Washington State) with over 30
years of planning and design experience. Since 1998 David has maintained a small
architectural practice in Glenwood Springs, Colorado incorporating sustainable
building performance standards in commercial and residential projects. His work
includes historic preservation and restoration as well as cutting edge design
concepts to increase environmental sustainability with new structure. Serving
consistently on all his design projects as Project Architect, David has also
worked as a Project Manager and a Consultant on numerous other jobs including a
Visitor Use Study and an Asset Management Plan for Glacier National Park and the
City of Aspen, respectively.
David offers a tremendous amount of wisdom and care in his work. His long
history of working with teams of engineers, consultants, governing
municipalities, and clients has given him a seasoned approach to the profession
of architecture and planning. He is a believer in finding the best possible
outcome for all parties involved and his search for positive solutions, combined
with his willingness to listen, have mitigated difficulties in the design and
construction process. David's receptivity to information and his commitment to
understanding the people he serves have granted him the ability to offer careful
and supportive assistance in getting a job done well.
