MAX WILLIAMS
GENERAL OVERVIEW
Max Williams is a licensed
attorney and a certified mediator and arbitrator by the Supreme Courts of
Tennessee and Florida. He is an AV rated lawyer who has served as a corporate
general counsel in both the private and public sectors. He was County Attorney
for Hillsborough County Florida, Chief Group Counsel and Assistant Secretary for
W. R. Grace & Co. and General Counsel for the Memphis Light, Gas & Water
Division. He is currently of counsel for The Hayden Law Firm which specializes
in construction law and litigation.
Mr. Williams is on the arbitration and mediation panels for the American
Arbitration Association, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Better
Business Bureau, Peacemaker Ministries, and the Federal Mediation and
Conciliation Service. He has mediated and arbitrated over 60 cases involving
environmental remediation, construction projects, securities issues, commercial
transactions, personal injuries, and labor contracts. He has issued arbitration
awards ranging from $0 to $950,000.
