GENERAL OVERVIEW

Billy Ward started his career back in the early 1980's learning the carpentry trade. He became a first class carpenter and started building his own homes by the mid 1980's. He built his business from the ground up and is now serving at the highest levels of the Residential Building Industry.

He has served as an expert witness on Residential Construction issues.

Accreditations and Affiliations:

  1. Served on FEMA's re-write of their Coastal Construction Manual.

  2. NAHBCertified Graduate Builder (CGB)

  3. NAHBCertified Green Professional (CGP)

  4. Served as Vice Chair on NAHB's Construction Codes and Standards, Research and Technology Committee

  5. Currently serving on ICC'sInternational Residential Code Committee (building committee) for the 2018 code cycle.

His broad background includes everything from all facets of carpentry to an extensive knowledge of building codes. Billy has developed residential subdivisions and is currently developing agated community on the only inhabited island on Louisiana's coast in the Gulf of Mexico. His firm is also involved in industrial construction.
