GENERAL OVERVIEW
Joe Ventola has been a Mediator, Arbitrator, and Consultant since 2003. He has experience in engineering, construction, sales, customer support, management, coaching and consulting. He is co -founder and managing partner of VnV Solutions, a company dedicated to dispute settlement and consulting. He has conducted hundreds of mediations and arbitrations and is very well respected in his field having been voted Best Mediator in the New Jersey Law Journal 2012 Survey.
DEGREES AND CERTIFICATIONS
Joe holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He is certified in Life/Business Coaching by the Institute for Professional Empowerment Coaching and is also certified in ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution). He has been attending ongoing trainings in mediation and arbitration since 2003.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
Joe has personally
bought and rehabilitated 5 properties and is well versed in all phases of
construction including, Concrete, Foundations, Framing, Sheathing, Electric,
Plumbing, HVAC, Siding, Roofing, Windows and Doors, Kitchens and Baths,
Decks etc. He feels it is critical to have a neutral who understands the
subject matter in construction disputes especially when a party(ies) utilize
experts to testify on their behalf. He has handled many construction
disputes since 2003.
Joe is very skilled in dispute resolution because he is a
“people/personality expert”. His life experience combined with coach
training gives him the ability to work with the personality issues which
invariably have a major effect in the process of dispute settlement. Joe
understands that many times a dispute is driven by personality traits along
with the “matter at hand”. He is a very thorough, fair, and judicious
arbitrator and believes honor and integrity is first and foremost when
adjudicating a matter. He is able to facilitate mediations expeditiously and
fairly because he is skilled at diffusing an adversarial environment as he
helps the parties communicate while managing emotions and keeping the issue
from becoming personal.
