ARLENE ENCINIAS

GENERAL OVERVIEW

Arlene has spent almost all of her entire career involved in the construction industry. She has developed a specialization related to mechanical systems and mechanical systems design that has established Arlene as one of the most qualified and experienced mechanical designers, design technicians and draftspersons in the construction industry. In addition, she has extensive knowledge in the electrical design and specification field. Her combined knowledge of electromechanical assemblies coupled with her early training and experience as a legal secretary makes Arlene to be a qualified specialist in relation to construction legal issues related to electromechanical systems analysis that might be required by the ADR or litigation processes. Her ability to read and interpret complex electromechanical plans makes Arlene to be a prime candidate to serve on a Dispute Review Board or Construction Settlement Panel.

EDUCATION

Arlene graduated from Santa Fe High School and attended the Santa Fe Community College prior to commencing her career in the construction industry. After her community college education, she pursued her career in the construction industry by attending the ITT Technical Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico. A small example of her specialized construction trainings are listed below:

Associate of Specialized Technology Degree in Drafting/Computer-Aided Design: 1200 hours of hands-on experience including 600 hours of manual drafting and ACAD RELEASE 10.

Mechanical Drafting/design: Detail and assembly drawings, casting, weldment, forging, exploded electromechanical assemblies, ANSI Y-14.5 dimensioning, and geometric tolerancing.

Electrical Drafting/design: Basic electronics, ANSI Y-32 and MIL STD-15, schematics and logic, analog and digital printed circuit board design, layout and taping techniques and wiring harnesses.

Architecture: Plot plans, site plans, floor plans, elevations, framing, stair detail, eve details, fireplace details, etc.

Structural: Reinforced concrete foundations and footings, reinforced masonry walls and post/beams details

Civil: Mapping and surveying plans for commercial and residential areas

EXPERIENCE

FWO-DECS (Weirich & Associates) Los Alamos, NM

Mechanical Designer: Interface with carious NMT groups, subcontractors and A/E Firms, i.e., KSL, Sonalyst, Merrick, Jacobs Engineering, etc. I have been involved with various mechanical systems designs at TA-55: HVAC, piping development and verifying Process Flow Diagrams, Piping & Instrument Diagrams. Demonstrated field experience in LANL data gathering and field walk downs, revisions of drawings (PDF'S, P & ID'S), familiarity with LANL Engineering and Drafting Manuals and DOE 1073-2003 Configuration Management, ENC's, DCP's, PMP's and IWD's. I have been trained and currently following PMP/IWD practices. I am currently using AutoCad 2005.

ESA-DE (Comforce Inc.) Los Alamos, N.M.

Mechanical Designer/Detailer: Prepared moderately complex detail drawings Including design fixtures, fittings, specifying connectors, flanges, etc. for ATLAS, a pulsed powered machine. An extensive amount of detail construction drawings were also required. All drawings were produced on the Unigraphics 14. Two years in weapon related design. Jobs range from detail parts to full assemblies. All work was done on Pro-Engineer CAD system which entailed creating a solid model and producing a drawing from the model. All models and drawings were done in accordance to ASME-Y14.5m 1994. Geometric tolerancing was a requirement on all models and drawings. I also have knowledge in Power Point, Excel and Microsoft Word.

Lockwood Greene Technologies, Los Alamos, N.M.

Mechanical Designer: Major projects include the Uranium Line for Special separation Science of Enriched Scrap. CMR Building Wing 1 Computer Room Upgrade, TA-55 Repeatable Details, Sandia National Labs Bldg. 870. Duties include Mechanical drawings package using AutoCAD REL 12, RE: 13 and InterGraph. Produce drawings such as Sections and Detail Layouts, P&ID's and all Piping and Exhaust Plans. Drawings done in accordance to LANL Standards.

Johnson Controls, Los Alamos, N.M.

Design Technician: Prepare accurate and representative drawings of line diagrams, power and lighting plans, architectural floor plans, HVAC, piping and plumbing diagrams for most buildings at LANL. All drawings done in accordance to the LANL Standard and prepared on AutoCad.

Pajarito Scientific Corp, Los Alamos, N.M.

Design Technician: Create Electrical/Electronic Drawings Package as per the Engineers design using AutoCad REL13. Produce Cable Schedules, Bill of Materials, Detail layout drawings of Electrical/Electronic components. Interface with technicians during assembly for interpretation of clarification of the drawings package. Initiate and maintain ECN log book for implementation of changes that occur during assembly. Utilizes knowledge of AutoCAD , Windows, and Industry wide drafting practices and Standards. .

Merrick & Co., Los Alamos, N.M.
