GENERAL OVERVIEW
Mike Burroughs has over 40 years’ experience in the building industry, starting as lead carpenter and foreman on construction sites and eventually establishing his own business as a home and commercial building inspector. One of the first licensed home inspectors in LA, he has served on Louisiana State Board of Home Inspectors as a member, president, and special investigator. In his career he has helped write the current inspection law and code of ethics for Louisiana as well as investigated and arbitrated disputes between inspectors, contractors, realtors, and the public. He has been approved as an expert witness in city, state and federal courts as an expert in home inspections, building construction, real estate inspections, moisture control and inspections, inspection reporting and mold inspection with testing.

- I have been a building inspector for over 30 years.
- Construction experience as lead carpenter and site foreman prior to starting an inspections company.
- I am a state of Louisiana licensed Home Inspector. License number is LHI10044.
- Louisiana State Licensed In-field Trainer for home inspectors.

- I am a member of the American Society of Home Inspectors. (ASHI)

- ASHI, LA-ASHI and the LA State Board of Home Inspectors all require 20 hours of continuing education per year in order to maintain membership and license. I typically double the CE hours every year.
