GENERAL OVERVIEW
Michael Simpson’s involvement with the construction industry consists of
extensive construction and contract litigation experience representing
contractors, design professionals, owners and sureties. The bulk of his
construction litigation work involved commercial projects and large-scale
residential projects, including condominiums and apartment buildings. This
includes experience in areas such as warranty claims, surety, indemnity,
comprehensive general liability and property insurance coverage, mechanics’
liens, prompt payment and construction trust statutes, copyright law, and design
professional liability. Mr. Simpson also has extensive knowledge of the AIA
standard-form contracts and surety bonds.
