Nichole Banegas has been employed in the Residential Construction industry for more than 15 years. Starting in the 1980s in the track housing era in California, Nichole grew up in the building industry. Learning on the jobsite in her family’s framing business. Nichole has experience in residential & commercial building development, energy & building codes, building products, as well as Green building standards. Nichole is very active in her local, state and national associations of Home Builders.

In 35 years as a business lawyer, trial lawyer, and corporate executive, Mr. Day has spent over 5 years in all aspects of construction law. During 3 years as Chief Counsel for Boeing’s construction management division, he was responsible for the resolution of over $200 million in construction claims by negotiation, mediation, arbitration and litigation.

Sherman Knight

Practicing law since 1986, Mr. Knight has seen too much money spent on the attorneys and not enough spent on the solution.  As a neutral since 1996, Mr. Knight enjoys helping find creative solutions that allow the parties to maintain control of the dispute and develop economical solutions. Mr. Knight has extensive experience in the construction industry.

One of a kind award winning custom homes and commercial builder from 1973 / present, served 16 years on the NAHB Executive Board and chaired 12 committees and councils .. builder of the year 4 times, featured in 120 industry magazines, Hall of Fame in Washington State, winner of many Local/State/National awards for construction excellence.

40 years in construction; a licensed contractor, owned a custom cabinet shop and teacher at Bellingham Technical College for 23 years.
Experience: building log homes, new construction, remodeling, custom furniture, kitchen design and audio video cabinetry.
Currently Director and vocational instructor of HomePort Learning Center, an alternative school for at-risk youth, which requires mediation skills.
