EXPERT AND WITNESS SERVICES

Although CDRS specializes in mediation, arbitration and Dispute Review Boards, in assembling the CDRS National Panel of Construction ADR Specialists, CDRS now has some of the most experienced and knowledgeable experts in the construction industry on our National ADR Panel.  Not only are they experienced experts, but through their mediation and arbitration training and experience, they have seen and learned how to be an effective and convincing expert or witness for construction-related disputes including mediation, arbitration and the litigation processes.   It is important to have an expert or witness who knows his/her topic well, however, that person must have the knowledge and ability to be a convincing expert or witness, especially in court or in a binding arbitration where the testimony of that expert will have an effect on the arbitrator, judge or jury in their issuance of an arbitration award or in a verdict issued by a judge or a jury.  That expert must not only have the knowledge required to support a party’s case, but he/she must also be credible and convincing in presenting his/her testimony.

CDRS is proud to offer the services of its experts in all aspects of the residential and commercial construction industries.  CDRS has experts in all fields related to horizontal construction (roads, railroads, bridges, dams, tunnels, etc.) and vertical construction (all buildings including residences, commercial buildings, schools, universities, apartments, hotels and motels, etc.)   Many of the CDRS Construction experts have experience in projects that encompass both horizontal and vertical construction such as airports, resorts and residential and commercial developments.

CDRS Specialists are also experienced in general areas of construction such as mold and mildew, EIFS, Subsidence, Project Financing, Building Codes, Handicap issues, real estate issues, green building and remodeling, warranty issues and many other construction-related topics.

It is impossible to list all of the areas of expertise that our Specialists possess.  As all members of the CDRS National Panel of Construction ADR Specialists are required to fill out and submit to CDRS a “Construction Knowledge Questionnaire” and our DRB Panel Members are required to fill out and submit to CDRS a “Dispute Review Board Questionnaire”.  CDRS can search its Data Base on our Specialists to locate and identify a CDRS Specialist who can provide the expertise and experience that you might require.  Please call CDRS to inquire about any of our Specialists who can provide you with professional and convincing testimony for your dispute resolution process.
